Apartment Tour

Welcome to Muh Crib!

I am so excited to be living with sweet baby Winston. We have decorated my first apartment (whoop whoop) to be bright, colorful, and happy. I wanted an apartment that would be fun, and comfortable. This post will be about where I got my decorations, inspirations, and an apartment tour!!!!!! Hope you enjoy!!

The entrance hall: this is what it looks like right as you enter my apartment. My mom and I saw this llama canvas (at AtHome) as we were ending our shopping experience. After hours of shopping we were delusional laughing at it so we HAD to get it, of course. Also, "mi casa, su casa" is something my grandma used to say ALL the time so I had to write it. I bought the light-up-mirror from Nebraska furniture mart. It has little crystals around the frame and is SO pretty.

Kitchen Area: I got these super cute flour/sugar canisters from Hillard's Furniture in Canton, TX. I got the Pioneer Woman butter dish, sugar dispenser, spice shaker, butcher block, floral plates/cups, and all my other spoons, etc. I got the Kitchen Aid turquoise blender, mixer, and a yellow Kate Spade toaster. I purchased a mini Kuireg coffee maker to match the turquoise theme, and it's perfect! I put various decorations above my cabinets that I mostly purchased from Pier One Imports and Hobby Lobby.

I HATED the backsplash that was originally in place, so we ordered a"stick on"backsplash and it made all the difference in the world. I loved the quirky kitchen pieces.

Living Room: My favorite room!! THIS LAMP... I am OBSESSED. It's hallow and covered in feathers. I also purchased it from Nebraska Furniture Mart. The chair is from Urban Outfitters; I really wanted the bold pop of bright color. The rug is from AtHome, and the other little trinkets are from various home decor stores. The diffuser (which is the sleekest, lowest maintenance) ever! It is from YoungLiving. The walls also- are decorated in contact paper.

I am soooo happy with how my living room turned out. It is comfortable, bright, and cheery.

MY Bedroom: I painted the wall navy to balance the busy patterns. The canvas is from Neiman Marcus. My lamp was an old lamp from my grandma- but is really nice. The pillows/bed decor was from Target, Nordstroms, and other pillows from various places. I had what we THOUGHT was contact paper on the wall behind my TV but, it was not contact paper and fell off when it got hot in there LOL. So I need to replace that. The woven rug is from Amazon. MOST of my furniture pieces we already had. We sanded and repainted a ton of tables, frames, etc. In regards to my bathroom: I LOVE the bath bomb display look.

My GUEST bedroom: Yes, HAHA I have a guest bedroom. People visit me all the time, and Winston lives with me, so it's just a little extra space. I LOVE this room. I actually used all the decor that was in my DORM last year at crusty Collins, including the contact paper. Something very special to me is what I have on the bedside table. Growing up I have ALWAYS seen my grandma with her pearls, Channel No. 5, and lipstick on her mirrored tray. When she passed, my grandpa gave it to me and it always makes me think of her.

Back Yard: I have a few flags, fence decorations, and a hammock in my backyard. It is fairly large and is gated. Winston LOVES it.. especially when we go outside to play corn hole or darts with friends. Ignore the dirty outdoor rug and chairs (which is all from Lowe's or Bed Bath and Beyond). The stuff on the fence is from Hobby Lobby. I also got some outdoor string lights that look super cool at night. VIBES!!!!

Overall, I am very pleased with my apartment. Even though I still have some finishing touches.. It looks exactly how I wanted it to! (:
